Plain language. What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights.

1. Who we are

NÖR is the trading name of a group of regional sales entities (NÖR AS in Norway, NÖR USA LLC, NÖR Canada Inc., NÖR UK Ltd, NÖR Europe BV, NÖR Australia Pty Ltd, NÖR Singapore Pte Ltd, and NÖR Middle East FZ-LLC). The entity that processes your data depends on the region you order from. For questions, contact privacy@norplunge.com.

2. What we collect

We collect only what we need to take orders, ship products, provide warranty service, and improve the site.

You provide directly

  • Contact details — name, email, phone, billing and shipping address.
  • Payment details — handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card number.
  • Order history and any messages you send us.
  • Optional marketing preferences (newsletter opt-in).

Collected automatically

  • Site usage — pages viewed, referring source, anonymised IP, device type (via Vercel Analytics and PostHog).
  • Cart state — stored locally in your browser via localStorage only; we do not see your cart until you check out.
  • Region preference — stored in a first-party cookie (nor_locale) for 365 days.

3. Why we use it

  • To fulfil your order — process payment, schedule production, ship to your address, provide warranty service.
  • To support you — reply to messages, send order updates, send protocols and the welcome pack.
  • To improve — understand which pages convert, where the site is slow, what content people want.
  • To send marketing — only if you opt in to the newsletter. Unsubscribe in any email.
  • To meet legal obligations — tax records, fraud prevention, regulatory compliance.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with the processors needed to run the business, under data-processing agreements.

  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Supabase — order and customer database, hosted in the EU (Frankfurt) by default.
  • Vercel — site hosting and edge functions.
  • Resend — transactional and marketing email.
  • Twilio — order-update SMS.
  • Freight partners — name, address, and phone shared only to deliver your order.
  • Taxe authorities — where legally required.

We do not sell your data to advertisers. We do not share your data with any party outside what is listed above.

5. How long we keep it

  • Order records — 10 years (or longer where required for tax).
  • Marketing list — until you unsubscribe.
  • Site analytics — 14 months, aggregated.
  • Support correspondence — 3 years.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EU, UK, California, or any other jurisdiction with data-protection law, you can ask us to:

  • Access the personal data we hold on you.
  • Correct it if it's wrong.
  • Delete it (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Export it in a portable format.
  • Stop processing it for marketing.
  • Object to processing where we rely on legitimate interest.

7. International transfers

Your data may be processed outside your country (the US, the EU, or the country where our production facility is located). We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK IDTA, and equivalent mechanisms to ensure your data is protected to your home jurisdiction's standard.

8. Cookies

We use first-party cookies for region preference (nor_locale) and cart state. Site analytics from Vercel and PostHog use first-party cookies that respect Do Not Track signals. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page with a new "last updated" date. Material changes will be emailed to anyone with an active order or newsletter subscription.
